Глухов Валерий Иванович (1940 -      )

С 1979 по 1994 гг. кафедрой физики заведует доцент В.И.Глухов. На кафедре продолжилась работа по углубленному внедрению в учебный процесс современных достижений физики, медтехники и методик преподавания. По большинству разделов на кафедре изданы учебные и методические пособия и указания для студентов. За счет средств хоздоговорных тематик, развернувшихся на кафедре в это время, был значительно обновлен лабораторный практикум, в том числе, впервые в медвузах страны студенты обучались работе и использованию программируемых калькуляторов. Сотрудники кафедры одними из первых широко внедрили в учебный процесс кафедры и института ПЭВМ. Кафедра успешно справлялась со всеми проблемами, стоящими перед коллективом сотрудников в связи с частыми изменениями учебных программ, связанных с поиском путей профилизации всех кафедр в системе высшего медицинского образования и физики в том числе. Кафедра была зачинателем широкого внедрения тестового контроля и рейтинговой системы оценки знаний студентов. Созданы условия для проявления и реализации индивидуальной способностей сотрудников кафедры и выявления наиболее талантливых студентов, что позволило кафедре интегрироваться в учебную, научную, методическую и общественную жизнь коллектива института. Научная тематика кафедры посвящена проблемам экологии и защиты окружающей среды, контролю, улучшению санитарно-гигиенических условий труда и жизни населения Одессы. Получены 2 авторских свидетельства, реализованы 10 рацпредложений, ежегодно публикуется 10 - 15 статей и докладов на симпозиумах и конференциях. Кафедра работает с академическими, учебными и отраслевыми институтами СССР (ИХФ АН СССР, МГУ, ОГУ и др.), а также кафедрами мединститута (гигиены, фармакологии, патанатомии, оперативной хирургии и др.).

    V.I.Glukhov was a Head of Physical Department in 1979-1994. Many modern achievements of physics and medical technologies and new methods were included into the teaching process in that time.   Several chapters of the course were extensively covered by publication of many methodical units, manuals and instructions for the students.

     Budget financing of different research programs permits to improve the laboratory course significantly; particularly (for the first time in the country’s medical Institutes) the students were taught to work with programmed electronic calculators.  Use of personal computers was also included into the teaching process very early and widely.

      Despite the rapid changing and modifications of studying programs the Department successfully solved the problems that arises.  Particularly the Physical Department was a founder and pioneer of the wide use of the test control method and rating system of knowledge estimation. All the needed  conditions  were provided for presentation and realization of the special talents of the collaborators and the search for most gifted students was organized for to provide a better conditions for optimal development of their abilities too. It helped the department to be more integrated both into the studying process and the scientific and social life of the Institute. 

      Scientific aspect of the Department’s development in that period was devoted particularly to ecology problems,  environment protection and the control and improvement of the sanitary  and hygienic conditions for the population of Odessa. I that period 2 innovative developments were officially verified, 10 innovations were practically used, 10-15 articles and abstracts were published and proposed on scientific forums and conferences yearly.    

       The work of Department was closely linked with other Departments of the Institute (Hygiene, Pathologic Anatomy, Surgery, Pharmacology etc.) and other academic, research and  medical organizations outside the Institute – particularly Academy of Science of the USSR, Moscow State University and Odessa State University.
